Living in Arizona, the idea of walking around during a hot summer’s day to take photos is not what I’d call enjoyable. Between the heat, the insanely harsh light and the heat again, it is hard to find any inspiration to shoot.
A quick day photoshoot in LA found me going around the foothills of Angela’s Crest with 3 cars, 2 rally drivers, and 1 scared photographer. The photographs were for 0-60 magazine and were a comparison of some new cars to the market. All in all, a good day with a lot more sunlight than expected, but some great photos none the less.
Yes, to all those that caught the reference, I did intend to title a post after a Nick Drake track. As for the relevance, well I just wanted to put up another random pic…. While photographing a portrait this weekend (on Saturday, how appropriate), we looked off the roof of the building to see the sunset. It is monsoon season in Arizona, and every so often you get one of these where the storms compete with the sun’s final moments of the day…. Enjoy
